Our new study on nutrient scavenging in pancreatic cancer is out in eLife
Check out a project that Chris started at the beginning of his postdoc investigating the mechanisms by which pancreatic cells can survive without the ability to synthesize their own GlcNAC, required for essential glycosylation, that was just published at eLife! (https://elifesciences.org/articles/62645). Completing this work relied heavily on co-first authors Peter Kim and Sam Kerk, currently Ph.D. candidates University of Michigan Cancer Biology Program.
We have received a UC Pancreatic Cancer Consortium Collaborative Pilot Award
This award provides us and Herve Tiriac at UCSD with substantial funding to build out our efforts to characterize and target chemoresistance in pancreatic cancer.
